"Sorrows of an Eagle"
Episode 13
There he was, their king lying lifelessly on the floor. Whoever saw him put his or her hand on their heads.
"Eeeiii, )d33fo) wuo yi edi me b)ne. Edi me ewu. Agh! Me nsono mu te.. Nyamekye, waha me oo. Wo sé na 3da h) yi oo....aagh aagh aagh, da b)ne b3n ni? Mante as3m d3 na menhu adepa", Oheneyere continued to lament.
Nyamekye ordered that they dug a pit and buried him. "No rites will be performed. Let the dead bury the dead."
They sacked everyone to go to their houses.
Oheneyere was left to wail till sunset when she finally decided to go to her room.
Later in the evening, Ama Takyiwaa sent one of the royal servants to tell Oheneyere that, though she (Ama Takyiwaa) got angry over those words Oheneyere said, she spared her life because she had been a mother right from the day she stepped foot into that house. If not for that, she would have been the next meal to be offered to the gods.
Oheneyere wanted to go with her husband, but Ama Takyiwaa told her, she's sparing her life, but she could die willingly.
Before sunrise, almost all the animals on the land were dead. Calamity had befallen the land.
There was no God to cry to except for the lesser gods the prince had brought.
The animals died without any cause.
Who were they to complain. Not even Oheneyere had the mouth to talk.
She had no right in that house. Her rights ended in her bedroom.
One of the elders of the late chief couldn't sit on it anymore. He went to see Nyamekye Adepa and told him about the calamity which had befallen their animals.
