"Sorrows Of An Eagle"
Episode 1
Most often than not, we see the rich become richer with each passing day, and the poor lavish in hunger and poverty each passing second, but with the people of Nyakrom, human status was of no relevance.
People moved about their normal duties without regarding the next person. Strangers loved to settle in this village. It would have been better if the village was named "Ahot)".
Their lands were very fertile with rich yields.
God indeed had blessed them with many resources and above all,a wise chief to lead them.
The chief, "Nana Aduhene Sekyi" ,was a Christian who was well vexed with the Christian doctrine.
He abolished idol worship in the village, because he believed God was the giver and owner of all things. He had the right to cause anything to happen.
Nana Aduhene Sekyi was twenty-eight years when he got married to his beautiful wife. It took them 11 years for the wife to take seed. He waited patiently on his God.
During delivery, Oheneyere Asantewaa became very weak. She couldn't gather enough strength to push the baby out.
Alas! The baby was out. It was a hairy bouncy baby boy. It was cute.
People jubilated. Yes! God had done it again.
But wait! He didn't cry. He looked very pale and stiff. The traditional birth attendant did all she could to revive the baby but he was already gone. He had been deprived of oxygen for too long.
He was dead.
How could God do this to a faithful servant who worshipped Him with all his might and power? After eleven years of patience, all He could do was to give and claim it back?
No, something must have been wrong. Whatever was wrong needed to be rectified.
The chief went to his room, locked up the door and laid naked before God.
"Father, naked I was born. I came into this world with nothing. You have every right to take everything away from me. If it is your will, grant unto this family another child. Don't let my enemies make mockery of me",he continued to lament.
As he picked his dress to put on, he heard someone bang his door.
He wondered who could do that. He dressed up and opened the door.
His wife pushed him away and entered. He shut the door, locked it and went to sit beside his wife.
"Woman, what is after you? Why do you look soo angry and tired? Talk to me. Who is after the queen mother of Nyakrom?", the king asked?
"The queen of what? ....she interrupted...don't make mockery of my womanhood. We are almost in the 12th year and there is no cry of a baby in this palace. The one your God gave us is what He greedily took away".
"Listen woman, you better shut up before I teach you how to do it. You don't sit there and say blasphemous words against the one who has made you who you are. I will take no nonsense from you. I'm the man here so leave me to complain", he said and left the room leaving behind Oheneyere Asantewaa.

Abhynha Yankey takes you a journey where faith determines the fate of the king of the sky... “ *Sorrows Of An Eagle*”
"Sorrows Of An Eagle"
Episode 2
"I will take no nonsense from you. I'm the man here so leave me to complain ", he said and left the room leaving behind Oheneyere Asantewaa.
He ordered that they summon everybody in the village before his palace. The mistake needed to be corrected, that is, if there was anything of that sort.
"People of Nyakrom, I Greet you all. I hope you all know what tragedy has befallen this land... It's been eleven years without the cry of a baby in this palace. The one that was given to us, also never cried. I therefore ask that we all fast and cry to God. He may hear our cry and grant us a successor. The fast shall be done tomorrow from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Let whoever has something to say speak, else we depart to our abodes", Nana Aduhene Sekyi said.
A hand went up from the crowd.
The whole place was quiet. He walked forward and spoke. He said, "Nana, nya nkwa daa. Y'ate no w) asopamu na y3b3y3 dodo nso".
The chief thanked him as he walked away. They needed a successor. They needed a male child. They needed a child from God.
They trusted that fasting with a solemn heart would solve the problem.
All this while, Oheneyere Asantewaa was in the room cursing God and asking Him questions.
She was not growing any younger. Her firm nice breasts were now turning into riped banana though no baby had suckled yet. She did a thorough examination on herself and realised her shape was deteriorating. Her abdomen was bloating with food.
Her husband returned to the room and saw her crying. It appeared she had been crying since her husband left the room.
She looked soo sad and devastated.
Nana drew closer, sat by her, wrapped his hand around her neck, and spoke to her in a very calm voice.
He knew exactly how to calm his woman and woo her. Oheneyere Asantewaa wanted to play hard and difficult initially, but Nana knows how to do it.
It didn't take much time to see her smile again.
They giggled and played. Before they realised, they were on the floor making love.
"I hope you enjoyed it,my love", Nana Aduhene asked his wife.
"That's not the issue here. I've always enjoyed it and even today, I did,but tell your God to perform some miracle because I'm tired. I now see sex as a game because nothing fruitful has yielded from it", she said and slammed the door in the face of the chief.

Sorrows Of An Eagle
Episode 3
"I now see sex as a game because nothing fruitful has yielded from it ", she said and slammed the door in the face of the chief.
6:00pm the following day, the people of Nyakrom gathered at the community center to break the fast and give thanks to God.
They sang songs of praise and danced to the glorification of God. They believed God had heard their plea, and so they would be answered in no time.
The chief with his elders were present though they were late. As for Oheneyere Asantewaa, she rather preferred to eat and sleep, than fast and give birth to a still baby.
Her mouth could neither be kept quiet nor idle as her husband prepared to leave for the occasion. She tried to stop him from going by asking him many annoying questions "Wo Nyankop)n no, onnim s3 wo w) yere? Nti de3 onim a ne s3 y3bedi muada? Saa? Barima de3, s3 woyere y3 eduane na woendi a, 3y3 musuo k3se3. Me hia 3nkyer3ase3. (Doesn't your God know you have a wife? All He knows is for us to fast. Really? As a man, it's an abomination for you to reject food prepared by your wife. It needs to be explained).
What was the explanation for? She knew they were fasting to get something from God so why would she be the devil here?
He left with his elders to the community center. He tried not to let his wife's attitude bring him down.
It'd been two months and Oheneyere had not seen her menses. She became ill and weak and experienced the symptoms of pregnancy. She was happy. She just couldn't hide her joy.
She prepared her husband's best delicacy and served him. She looked soo sweet as she sat beside her husband as he enjoyed his meal.
"This food brings me memories of those days. Hope you remember them?", he enquired.
She noded her head with smiles as if there was something to be said.
"...well, let me remind you since you are suffering from amnesia. Those days we used to meet behind Agya Afari's house. It is something I can never forget", he continued to say.
She also smiled with love beaming all over her face.
"My love, do you have a cut on your thigh? There is blood flowing along your thighs", the chief said.
"What?''. She shouted with shock. Again? So you see why I keep saying I won't worship your God? He gives and takes away. How can I have a miscarriage just two months after missing my period without doing any straineous activity?", she said with sadness and anger as she rushed out.
Agh, does she mean she prepared the food for him so that she would break the news to him?
He left the food, washed his hands and followed her to the room.
"Woman, take it easy. I understand your plight, but let me assure you that the God I serve is a miracle working God. Relax, take your mind off it and He will do it. Why are you soo desperate?", he asked
Oheneyere Asantewaa kept quiet and continued to sob.

Episode 4
Oheneyere Asantewaa kept quiet and continued to sob.
Two months after she saw the blood flow on her legs, she had her menses without any failure. The blood was as pure as crimson.
Sure God wasn't helping her, or was it that He was taking some days off? Perhaps, the words of Oheneyere were too harsh that it pushed God far away from them.
How could they continue to live without a child. She wasn't growing any younger, likewise Nana Aduhene Sekyi.
There needed to be a way out. Something needed to be done.
If God was asleep, then surely his subordinates were awake. If indeed man was made in His own image, then the fetish priest could also work like God, but where would she find a fetish priest.
That was another hell of a problem. She started thinking of it.
Day in day out, she would walk around the surrounding villages just to know if she could get one fetish priest to consult.
That also became another headache for her. She had sleepless nights over this. She wanted a child of her own,if not a male child. She denied herself of food till she became hypoglycemic one night.
She was so weak that she couldn’t even talk.
Nana Aduhene Sekyi summoned the herbalist for the necessary care to be rendered to her.
She looked so pale. How could she starve herself when there was soo much to be eaten?
The herbalist gave her a calabash of sugar solution to drink, to give some energy after realizing she's been starving herself, hence her condition.
She was made to rest and the necessary palpation made on her.
Hmmmm...herbalists are soo good when it comes to palpations. He would soon figure out the problem, that is, if there was another.
He continued to palpate her in the presence of Nana while the kinsmen waited patiently outside.
"Oheneyere, may I please ask? When was the last time you had your menses?", the herbalist asked.
She was too weak to answer so Nana had to come in. He told the herbalist she's been menstruating all these while, but before then, she wasn't menstruating for two months which indicated she was pregnant because she felt the symptoms of pregnancy. Two months after that, she had a miscarriage and since then, she'd been menstruating.
"Really?", the herbalist exclaimed.
He took the hand of Nana to one corner and said, "Our mother here is four months pregnant. She must not starve herself or engage in any straineous activity. She did not have a miscarriage. It does happen, people get pregnant, yet have their menses. Please take very good care of her. All she needs is enough rest with good food".
Nana was soo happy. He didn't need to ask any more questions for clarifications, because he knew it was the work of God.
Soon after, Oheneyere woke up.
The news was broken to her. Though she was happy, she was scared the baby might not survive.
Necessary education was given to her on how to go about her normal duties. She needed not to stress or starve herself.
They thanked the herbalist as they left in the company of the kinsmen.

Episode 5
They thanked the herbalist as they left in the company of the kinsmen.
Oheneyere was made to rest without any disturbances. She was served at the right time to make sure she gained enough energy.
Much time was spent with her to make her feel loved. As for pampering, it became the norm. Nana didn't want to lose this child.
He always went on his knees to pray to God to give him a child full of life. All he needed was a child, no matter the gender.
Nana couldn't go about his normal duties since he spent most of his time with his his wife.
He encouraged the elders and kinsmen to also pray whenever they were alone because if Nana Aduhene Sekyi should die, there would be no one to take over the throne, lest they go into bondage and slavery.
If they should encounter that, they would be forced to turn their back against God. That was exactly what Nana Aduhene Sekyi was trying to avoid.
He loved God so much with his heart.
He didn't want any of his people to turn against God, so whenever he went down on his knees, he remembered to commit his people into the hands of God.
He inculcated into his people the love and respect for God.
A day was set aside to worship God. He passed a law that they fast and pray till 12:00 on Wednesdays, after which they could all go about their normal duties.
Due to their love and submissive heart towards God, their lands were rich and fertile, and their animals continued to multiply.
The chief continued to pray for grace and mercies.
When the time was due for his wife to deliver, she put to bed without going the pains of labour.
Before the traditional birth attendant came around, she had already given birth. It was another nice and hairy bouncy baby boy.
He looked strong like a month old baby. Indeed, he had come to stay.
Nana and his wife could not hide their joy. The news spread through the town like wild fire.
Their dreams had come into reality. God had performed yet another miracle. He didn't just give them a child, but He gave them a successor. He didn't give them just a successor, but He gave them a handsome and hairy successor.
They trooped to the palace to congratulate the chief and his wife.
Though they were not allowed to see the baby, they said prayers to wish him well.
They knew they would see him one day.
The baby needed rest so he could gain much strength to lead them. Besides, the journey from the womb to land of the living was a very tiring one.
He needed no noise.
At last, the people of Nyakrom could boast of a successor.

Episode 6
At last, thepeople of Nyakrom could boast of a successor.
During his naming ceremony, all the people of Nyakrom forfeited their work just to grace the occasion.
They were all happy since it would be a chance to see the handsome prince for the first time.
The Royals dressed in their nice regalia and stepped out in style.
They were led by the cultural troupe who were made up of four young ladies and two men. They danced to the tune of "adowa". The elders and kinsmen were not left out in this celebration.
After few minutes of joyful moments, the prince was finally brought in by the royal baby sitter.
He was all dressed with golden ornaments and jewels. They looked heavy around his neck, wrists, knees and ankles.
His colorful kente sparkled as the sun rays displayed their skill. He was a baby to behold.
They all rose and stood on their feet as the prince was brought in. A befitting standing ovation.
They sang praises and shouted glorious words to the new born.
It was as if the young prince understood their words, he smiled to every statement they made.
They all sat down when the young prince was presented to the queen mother, Nana Srekubea Sekyi.
Prayers were said to thank God for the gift given to them.
It was now time for the main purpose of the program. It began to drizzle. Showers of blessings. God had blessed them and was always doing it.
The baby was named "Nyamekye Adepa" and dedicated to God.
Different gifts were presented to him, ranging from money to material things from all villages, far and near.
They thanked them and brought the ceremony to an end.
It's twenty years already since Nyamekye Adepa was brought into the world.
As the Bible said in Proverbs 22:7-8," train up a child in the way he should grow and when he is old,he will not depart from it".Nana Aduhene Sekyi did all he could to bring his son up in a Christian way.
He wanted his son to love God and know him better. He didn't want to spare the rod on his child. He tried his best to teach him the ways of God.
In as much as Nana Aduhene tried to teach his child the ways of God, the wife didn't like the idea of beating him up when he went wrong.
He was a prince and he needed to know everything. He would coil in his shell if he's always beaten.
To Be Continued .

Episode 7
He was a prince and he needed to know everything. He would coil in his shell if he's always beaten.
Oheneyere Asantewaa pampered her son. Every woman would do so, besides he was the only child so far, the crowned prince of Nyakrom.
He would not be respected if people saw him being beaten and shouted at.
He grew up without knowing the customs and traditions of the land, because he was far away from his father.
His mother was not teaching him, because no matter what, he would ascend unto the throne.
This brought bitterness and sorrow to Nana Aduhene Sekyi. He was already sixty and his son was not man enough to ascend the throne. He wasn't knowledgeable enough to rule his people.
Was that a punishment from God? Maybe he forced God to give him a child of which he could have waited for some time.
He thought of it throughout the night. His pillow couldn't take away his burden.
Maybe, it was high time he took upon himself his responsibility.
He needed to call Nyamekye Adepa to order. He needed to talk some sense into his ears. He can't be like Eli in the Bible, lest he dies a sorrowful and shameful death, and incurred the wrath of God upon his family and people.
As if he had thorns all over his bed, he woke up very early the next morning. He headed straight to Nyamekye's cottage. He wasn't around. He searched everywhere, but he was no where to be found.
Perhaps he might be around, so Nana waited patiently for his return.
The sun was high up in the sky and still, the prince was nowhere to be found. He couldn’t sit anymore.
He surmoned his kinsmen and ordered a search for the prince. He must be brought back!
Just as he was talking to his kinsmen, Oheneyere Asantewaa came in. She was surprised to see the chief with the kinsmen. The look on his face signalled danger. She went close to the chief and asked, "what is going on here? Is something missing from the palace?"
The chief told his wife that the crowned prince of Nyakrom was nowhere to be found.
"Agh! Me wura paa...so at my son's age, he can't travel or something? Anyway, he told me he was going in search of greener pasture yesterday", she exclaimed.
He did what? And his mother allowed him to go without informing his father?
Women! They can never change.
Nana looked fiercely into his wife's eyes. His jugular veins were clearly distended. It looked as if he wanted to hit his wife, but he managed to control himself. He got up from his seat and walked out. He couldn’t take it anymore. Things were getting worse.

Abhynha Yankey takes you on a journey where faith determines the fate of the king of the sky, " Sorrows Of An Eagle "
"Sorrows of an Eagle"
Episode 8
He couldn’t take it anymore. Things were getting worse.
He went into his room, went on his knees and cried unto God. He didn't eat nor drink that day.
He fasted and prayed to God to protect his son wherever he was.
He stayed indoors without coming out of his room for two days. He was not eating not drinking. He continued to fast and pray that God would touch the heart of his son for him to return.
He began distancing himself from his wife with the notion that she was full of bad ideas. Though they slept in the same room and on the same mat, he slept early to avoid talking to his wife.
He would always go to the room alone and cry to God. That was a man who loved God and after God's own heart.
The news about the disappearance of the prince was all over.
People began to talk about it, and as usual, ladies would do their thing. They would stand in groups and gossip.
As for Oheneyere Asantewaa, she went about her normal duties. She knew her son would be back. Was it wrong for him to travel? After all, he would be a chief and it would be bad for him not to have travelled.
" He would be back as a full grown man ready to rule. He would be like his father, but may acquire more wealth than his father. With his handsomeness, he may have many wives and many children. He would have to produce all that his father couldn't produce. Besides, that was another work assigned to man by God. Man must procreate and continue God's work", Oheneyere Asantewaa thought.
It was getting to a full year and no one had heard of the whereabouts of the prince. The chief couldn't stop thinking of it.
Nyamekye Adepa was his only child and the heir apparent to the throne. What could have made him leave the house without returning or even sending a message? Or some animals have preyed on his flesh?
Many thoughts ran through the mind of Nana Aduhene Sekyi. He couldn’t sit on his seat for more than five minutes. It was as if his world was coming to an abrupt end.
Day in day out, he would go to his room and cry his heart out to God. He trusted God for that. He had served the Lord with all his might and power, there'd not been a single day that the Lord had forsaken him.
As for Oheneyere Asantewaa, it seemed she cared less about the whole issue. Nyamekye was her only child though, but that didn't mean he shouldn't be given the chance to explore. He would definitely come back, come what may. He couldn't die in a foreign land.
...but that wasn't what Nana was thinking of. He had failed his promise to God. He promised he would make Nyamekye serve him, but it was so clear that he wasn't ready to do the will of his father. He had his own ways. It wasn't necessary to follow the steps of his father.
If it was his destiny to be the chief, no matter what, he would be the chief. That didn't mean he should always be at the feet of his father.

Abhynha Yankey takes you on a journey where faith determines the fate of the king of the sky, " Sorrows Of An Eagle "
"Sorrows of an Eagle"
Episode 9
That didn't mean he should always be at the feet of his father.
Thoughts of the "Lost Prince" made Nana Aduhene Sekyi sick. He became so vulnerable and weak that he could do nothing. He became bedridden soon after the herbalist told him he'd gotten high blood pressure (hypertension).
Talking became difficult for him. All he needed was his son.
He needed to see the child he prayed to God for. He wanted to see him alive and strong.
Now, it became a problem for Oheneyere too. She never thought the absence of his son could bring calamity to his household. She wished Nyamekye never undertook the journey.
When she woke up in the morning, Oheneyere would have to lay a mat in front of the house for Nana Aduhene Sekyi to sleep on. She brought him out with the help of the kinsmen.
Her movements were restricted now. She couldn't go anywhere. All she did was to sit by him and fan him all day. The elders were always present around him, trying to engage him in some conversation to make him feel loved.
For the people of Nyakrom, it was as if it was Christmas. They always presented food items to the palace and helped in putting the place in order.
One good turn deserved another.
Why do elders of the Akan land call God "Onyankopon Kwame?" Was there anything special with Saturdays? I'm pretty sure God answers prayers on Saturdays.
One Saturday afternoon, as the elders were talking with the chief, one of the young ladies of the community ran to the palace. It appeared she was being chased by an animal or something strange. Her breathe couldn't permit her to talk.
"...I...I...I", that was all she was saying.
"Lady, talk. We are all here and whatever the case is, we will help you out", one of the elders said.
She continued, " I...I went to, I went to (still panting), I went to..."
"...You went where?" Another elder cut in.
"I went to the farm to get some firewood for the palace. On my way, I saw someone who looked like our prince".
"Repeat yourself. Are you sure you saw the person well?" It was as if the chief didn't hear her well, he forcefully got up and asked.
"Nana, please I even saw the royal beads around his neck and ankle", she said.
Before Oheneyere could join in their conversation, the prince appeared.
His mother was right. He was all grown and looking like a real man. He looked more handsome now.
A village will forever remain a village. The news spread very fast. People trooped in to welcome him.
They offered him a seat but he rejected it, telling them to give it to another person (pointing at a light skin coloured beautiful lady). A stranger to sit on the royal chair?
Who at all was this lady? They all opened their mouth when Nyamekye told them to offer her a seat, lest they leave without returning.
Eeeeiii! As3m yi dika.

They all opened their mouth when Nyamekye told them to offer her a seat, lest they leave without returning. Eeeeiii! As3m yi dika.
Nyamekye introduced the lady as Ama Takyiwaa. He met her at a village called Twenen. Ama Takyiwaa housed and fed him all these while he was away. He went ahead to say, " I just knew that I had feelings for Ama Takyiwaa that I had never felt with any other lady. When I first saw her, I actually felt chill bumps. I liked everything about her. I liked the way she looked, the way she talked, the way she walked, and I was especially captivated by her brown eyes.I even liked her mother because she always saw to it that I was never hungry."
His father tried to stop him but he continued to talk, "I could not imagine any other lady being more wonderful than her. When we kissed, it was like a trip to heaven. She also had same thoughts and feelings towards me. With all of these thoughts and feelings, we fully intended to make eachother happy the rest of our lives. My inlaw blessed us so we came home, not to introduce her to any of you, but take what righfully belongs to us", pointing at the throne.
As3m k3se aba! He is married. All the elders opened their mouth.
For Nana Aduhene Sekyi, he couldn't control himself but cry and call out God's name.
His tears didn't move Nyamekye Adepa.
Oheneyere was happy for the return of his son. He didn't return empty handed, he came back with a woman.
A very beautiful woman to rule the people of Nyakrom.
Oheneyere prepared a place for them to sleep and something to eat. She didn't want to bother them much, because she knew they were tired.
It's a whole month since the crowned prince of Nyakrom returned. He had changed totally towards everybody, except for his mother who supported him in his outrageous ways.
He could pass by without greeting anyone, but would not respond even when anyone did. He managed to sack all the elders of his father.
Nyamekye Adepa was biting more than he could chew.
He ordered the kinsmen of his father that they stopped serving his father and served him onwards, since he was the new chief. None could say a word. Yes! He was the chief...but no one enstooled him.

Episode 11
None could say a word. Yes! He was the chief...but no one enstooled him.
He needed no one to enstool him, since he
would definitely be the chief. He put up houses meant for gods. Who was going to worship those gods? Who even taught him about that?
O! Lest I forget, his wife would be worshipping there. He would be worshipping with her. He ordered that they bring down the temple of God.
That has been Oheneyere's dream. To see a shrine and not a church, because God didn't help her when she needed Him most.
Nana Aduhene Sekyi heard the news about the pulling down of the Temple so he called Nyamekye and warned him. He became furious and left the sight of his father. He then ordered that all the kinsmen be summoned before him and his wife.
He asked rudely and arrogantly, "Who among you here went to tell my father about my decision to bring down the soo called Temple? Huh! Who amongst you? Will someone speak before I throw hot oil on you all?".
One of the kinsmen boldly moved forward. You could tell that he was not scared.
"....and who are you?", Nyamekye Adepa asked again.
"I am Kwadwo Sintim, the faithful servant of Nana Aduhene Sekyi. I have vowed to serve him and worship the Lord in all ways".
".....hmmmmmm, very funny.
You have vowed to do what? Serve a dead chief and a God who does not exist? Make your decision now! Will you worship my gods or his God?", Nyamekye enquired.
"I'm not ashamed to say this and I will not change my decision. I will serve the God of host", Kwadwo Sintim answered.
He was very bold to say that. The other kinsmen tried pulling him to change his decision, but he stood on his ground.
Nyamekye Adepa turned to his wife and asked her,"what do you think we do with this imbecile who has decided to disgrace me before you?".
Ama Takyiwaa gave a fake smile and replied, "my love, you know it's been barely a month since we came. I mean it's been a month since we fed the gods. They are very hungry and people like this will serve as sumptuous meals. Let's offer his head to them."

Abhynha Yankey takes you on a journey where faith determines the fate of the king of the sky, " Sorrows Of An Eagle "
"Sorrows of an Eagle"
Episode 12
They are very hungry and people like this will serve as sumptuous meals. Let's offer his head to them.
Nyamekye Adepa nodded his head in affirmation.
Offer his head to what? So they came with gods, no wonder he ordered they put up a building for it.
The kinsmen got very scared at this time and pleaded with Nyamekye that he gave their colleague few minutes to think through it, but it seemed Kwadwo Sintim had already made his mind up. He would rather die for God than live to worship a lesser gods.
Ama Takyiwaa ordered that the kinsmen behead Kwadwo Sintim before her, and the head presented to her. None of them wanted to do it but she told them, they would all have their head chopped off and offered as sacrifices if they disobeyed her.
While she gave her warning, Kwadwo Sintim prayed to God. Ama Takyiwaa encouraged him to pray because it was his last moment on earth. As soon as he finished praying, one of the kinsmen lifted a sharp cutlass and chopped off his head.
Ama Takyiwaa asked that one held the head and another fetched the blood with a calabash. She told them to present it to her while she waited patiently in the room with her husband. As for the body, they could throw it away or decide to bury it.
They carried the body to where Nana Aduhene Sekyi was sleeping. Fear gripped him when he saw that. He had never seen such before. He asked where they saw it and they told him what really happened. That was his faithful servant.
Nana Aduhene Sekyi pleaded with the kinsmen to help him get access to his son. He met Nyamekye with his wife so it was simple to know what happened.
There was no time to waste. Ama Takyiwaa answered him, "You have lived more than your age given to you. You are only wasting your son's time by living on this earth. My gods do not want people like you because you have few days to die. I would rather feed my snakes with you. You need to die for my husband to rule. You need to die for my gods to take possession of this land. The blood I offered them was rejected because of you. I see you as an abomination to the throne".
Before Nana Aduhene could say a word, Ama Takyiwaa had already brought out her cage which had snakes in it. She ordered that they bit him.
That was how Nana Aduhene met his untimely death.
Before Oheneyere got there, her husband had already given up the ghost.
She ran and slept on the corpse. She couldn't hold back her tears.
Her beloved husband was gone for good.
"Eeiiii eeiiii, afei de3, atra me. Me nsono muo, me nsono muo. Ogyefo ne hwana? Na hwana koraa na m3ka m'as3m akyere3 no? Eeeiii, ewiase afono me. Eeeeiiii, me na menieoooo", she cried and rolled on the floor.
People rushed see what was happening. There he was, their king lying lifelessly on the floor.
Whoever saw him put his or her hand on their heads.

Abhynha Yankey takes you on a journey where faith determines the fate of the king of the sky, " Sorrows Of An Eagle "
"Sorrows of an Eagle"
Episode 13
There he was, their king lying lifelessly on the floor. Whoever saw him put his or her hand on their heads.
"Eeeiii, )d33fo) wuo yi edi me b)ne. Edi me ewu. Agh! Me nsono mu te.. Nyamekye, waha me oo. Wo sé na 3da h) yi oo....aagh aagh aagh, da b)ne b3n ni? Mante as3m d3 na menhu adepa", Oheneyere continued to lament.
Nyamekye ordered that they dug a pit and buried him. "No rites will be performed. Let the dead bury the dead."
They sacked everyone to go to their houses.
Oheneyere was left to wail till sunset when she finally decided to go to her room.
Later in the evening, Ama Takyiwaa sent one of the royal servants to tell Oheneyere that, though she (Ama Takyiwaa) got angry over those words Oheneyere said, she spared her life because she had been a mother right from the day she stepped foot into that house. If not for that, she would have been the next meal to be offered to the gods.
Oheneyere wanted to go with her husband, but Ama Takyiwaa told her, she's sparing her life, but she could die willingly.
Before sunrise, almost all the animals on the land were dead. Calamity had befallen the land.
There was no God to cry to except for the lesser gods the prince had brought.
The animals died without any cause.
Who were they to complain. Not even Oheneyere had the mouth to talk.
She had no right in that house. Her rights ended in her bedroom.
One of the elders of the late chief couldn't sit on it anymore. He went to see Nyamekye Adepa and told him about the calamity which had befallen their animals.

Episode 14
Nyamekye sat down to think of the necessary action to take. When he realised it was more than what he could handle alone, he called his wife Ama Takyiwaa to join them.
He told her about what had befallen the animals, and what she thought could be done in order to prevent the worst from happening.
Ama Takyiwaa stood up, looked at the elder and said, "you should even thank the gods of the land for not taking away your lives but rather, that of the animals. Let my husband have peace".
She left after she had said that, and asked her husband to follow her to the room. They left the elder there. He finally left. Before sunset that day, it rained heavily. Locusts descended and covered every part of their lands.
Nobody could come out of his room. They made soo much noise during the night that they couldn't sleep.
Though it rained, their lagoons and streams dried up. The well which served the community turned clayey.
There was no water to drink nor bath with.
Yet, they were scared to report to the prince since his wife wouldn't even permit him to give his decision.
They managed to bath with the little water they had in their homes.
Who knows? God would be merciful enough and show them His mercy.
Nyakrom was turning into a desert gradually.
Children were dying strangely. They couldn't sit and watch it anymore.
The elders decided to go and see Oheneyere Asantewaa. She might be of help

Abhynha Yankey takes you on a journey where faith determines the fate of the king of the sky, " Sorrows Of An Eagle "

Episode 15 (FINAL EPISODE)
They knocked severally on her door when they got to the palace.
She managed to open the door for them.
The whole place was smelling. They couldn't enter as they all pinched their nose. She had boils all over her body. There was no one to help her. She defeacated and urinated in the same room she slept.
She had nothing to eat so she had grown lean and was emaciated.
Oheneyere pleaded with them to pray sincerely for her.
The elders joined hands, sang and prayed together. They prayed fervently and asked that God forgave them and let His face shine upon them once again.
While they prayed, Ama Takyiwaa angrily went there to stop them. They turned deaf ears to her as they continued in prayer.
She fell down and rolled on the floor while they prayed. She begged them to stop praying for her to confess.
The word "confess" struck them. One of the elders ran to call Nyamekye Adepa and the people of the community. Within few minutes, the whole place was filled with people.
She started by saying, "please forgive me. I am on a mission to this land. Some years ago, Oheneyere cursed God when she was not getting a child of her own. She said many things against God and even doubted the existence of God. She even went ahead to search for a fetish priest to help her, but she didn't get any. The spirits that hover in the night got hold of her words and sent me destroy her. She was strong like an *eagle*, so we decided to let her son (pointing at the prince) travel.
There, I would take the form of a human being, marry him and get access into this land. I charmed him so I could manipulate him. I killed the chief because he was an obstacle. I am the cause of all those calamities in this land. Please forgive me and spare my life. I will go without returning... please".
They continued to pray the moment she finished with confession. She continued to roll on the ground.
The prince came back to his senses as they prayed, while his mother got healed instantly. The prince ran to embrace his mother and apologised.
He asked for the whereabout of his father and he was told he was killed by Ama Takyiwaa. He cried and pleaded for forgiveness from his people. Ama Takyiwaa vanished while rolling on the ground.
Fire from nowhere burnt down the houses which were erected for the gods.
The people of Nyakrom sang praises and danced to the glorification of God.
